ATIH 2012 crashing (not responding)
Hey all,
Having some major dramas with one of my installations of ATIH 2012.
Opening up the interface results in it opening (and displaying) the main splash screen, but as soon as you try and click on anything, it goes to Not Responding. Only way to close is is to end the Process.
Event logs show the following:
The program TrueImage.exe version 15.0.0.5545 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.
Process ID: 43ac
Start Time: 01d0506e919d0b64
Termination Time: 2
Application Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImage.exe
Report Id: d80dbbea-bc61-11e4-9f1b-8000600fe800
I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the application twice.
I have run the Acronis True Image Clean-up Utility as outlined here: https://kb.acronis.com/content/34876
I have also tried to run the Acronis Info Utility, which also crashes as below:
Faulting application name: SystemReport.exe, version: 17.0.0.6614, time stamp: 0x52691bce
Faulting module name: MSVCR80.dll, version: 8.0.50727.6195, time stamp: 0x4dcddbf3
Exception code: 0x40000015
Fault offset: 0x000046b4
Faulting process id: 0x1bd0
Faulting application start time: 0x01d0507bfc73cf4a
Faulting application path: C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\SystemReport.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.6195_none_d09154e044272b9a\MSVCR80.dll
Report Id: 86b19a05-bc6f-11e4-b6c2-50e549b7493f
Another point to note is;
The entire reason I had to start with the re installation of Acronis was that the system started not shutting down, with the message (to the effect of): Operations are in progress. My research showed this was the Acronis attempting to run a verification over the backup drive, but after 16 hours, it still had not finished. So I hard shut the machine.
System is:
Windows 7 Professional x64
Intel Core i5-2400
8GB RAM
2x 1TB WD Drives in RAID1
Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the recommendations.
I've done a full CHKDSK (no issues). Allowed an SFC /SCANNOW to run (no issues). Full Viral scan with Combofix/MBAM/Hitman/Trend which were all clean.
I've tried elevating the CleanUp Utility and the System Checker to no avail.
I've ensured all updates are installed. I've tried installing and uninstalling Zune (as I saw on another post somewhere this can cause an issue).
Running out of ideas :(
