ATIH 2012 rescue cd won't boot
I am trying to create a HD Disk image with the rescue cd--I don't want the TIH program installed on the disk before the clean backup image is made-- and the cd wont boot to start the process.
1. I have tried F11>remove "quiet", and added "acpi=off noapic" without quotes, and it still will not boot. Boot stalls at "using /lib/modules/nfs.ko" with black line and flashing underscore cursor.
2. I have tried to boot on other pc's and most of my AMD cpu's don't boot, and Intel cpu's do.
How do I get cd to boot properly.
Thanks

John Ru, I had a similar problem with one of my systems, I don't recall all the details at this time but I do recall that support gave me a link to download an ISO file which I used to create a bootable disk and this resolved the problem for me. Initially I had created a bootable CD within TI 2012, this did not work for me at the time. I have both Intel and AMD system, sorry I don't remember more details at this time.
Try the following and see if they resolve your issue

BTW to work with ISO files I use UltraISO (not free) and have been super pleased with it. See http://www.ezbsystems.com/ultraiso/

JGT1942, thanks for the reply,
I have a trial version that expired yesterday or today-Dec27,2011 install, there never was an option to get any additional ISO's to try. I was sucessful with MaxBlast 5 to solve my problem in December, but now in January, ATIH2012 continues to not work for me and I was looking for a LAST GASP answer to get it to work at any level for me.
ATIH2012 has never worked for me other than to say it was a trial and take up disk space.
No moderator or technician has attempted an answer to my problem either.
Thanks again for your thoughts on my problem.
John
