ATIH 2015 UR - Win8 driver won't apply to Win7 even though it's compatible
I am trying to UR an image to dissimilar hardware. I have created the image with ATIH 2014 and applied drivers with Universal Restore 2015. It all goes well until Universal Restore encounters the following error:
"Device driver '*INT33A1' for 'Windows 7' cannot be found. Place the driver on a removable media or in folder ....................blah blah blah.
I downloaded the drivers from the manufacturer website and included both win7 and win8.1 drivers on the removable storage and pointed Universal Restore to the drivers directory. Any ideas on why it fails? All the other drivers install OK. From what I can tell it's a chipset driver for Intel's Processor Line Power Engine Plug-in.

After further trial and error, I suspect the driver I am trying to inject is developed for Windows 8.1, however I know for a fact it works for Windows 7 builds. Acronis tells me it's not a windows 7 driver, hence the error. Acronis... can't I tell the program to use MY driver? I hate applications that think they are smarter than I am, limiting my options.
Is there a way to modify the driver itself to report itself as Windows 7?
Also, why is it that if I include the drivers from the Windows 7 install DVD, I get the same error even though a fresh install works fine?
