ATIH2011 Plus: Validation Probs solved on my system
I run newly purchased ATIH2011 Plus, Build 6696, on Win XP-SP3 and did full system Images and volume-BackUps to an USB-HD target.
Without problems so far.
But all validation-trials were terminated with Error-Codes 0x000101F6+0x00070020 and 0x013C0005
I learned from Acronis forums that some more user were faced with same Probs.
As per Acronis advice I did 'chkdsk /R' and 'memtest' for the source and target, all resulting in 'Perfect and Sound'.
Then I checked my system and found out following:
About 2 years ago I replaced a router and un-installed it properly via 'Software'.
But now I discovered (by checking all autostarts) in the registry an item calling the uninstalled router automatically with each Win-Start.
I just unchecked and deleted this registry Item with the result that ATIH validates proper all Images/BackUps!
This experience might be helpfull for any user with similar Validation problems.

MudCrab: Did it also fail to validate when booted to the TI CD?

I have not tried, and why should I?

Because it would have helped determine if the problem was limited to Windows. TI booted from the CD is running in Linux. If you have the same problems validating from both operating systems, the problem is probably hardware releated.
Mainly, I was curious. Your fix would do nothing to fix the same problem when using the TI CD. I was wondering if you had tried it and if it had worked.

Sorry for late reply.
Meantime I booted from the TI-CD and validating of all Images/BackUps worked fine.
So the problem seemed to occur with Windows only.
But I'm still a bit surprised at the reason for the problem which obviously caused in that minor registry-item as described.
Now everything seems to work well.
Thanks for your hint.
