ATIM does not seem to recognise correct partition size on target drive when doing a restore
I bought a new computer a few months ago and did a full backup with ATIH 2012 using default settings. After some drivers got automatically updated a couple of days ago, I can not run my computer except in safe mode without gettting a BCCode error 50 so I wanted to restore my backup to determine if the problem is bad RAM or a corrupted driver.
The first thing I noticed about the backup TIB file is that it is much, much smaller than the data I backed up. When I browse the file it shows me the C partition, but the contents are not familiar and certainly do not reflect the files on the drive. When I select restore, it shows the target hard drive of having a 25 GB partition. In reality it is 973 GB. I am afraid to restore since it looks like it is going to overwrite the large partition with a much smaller one and I don't have any tools to resize the partition.
Is anyone aware of problems with not backing up all files or with ATIM not properly recognizing partition sizes?
