Simple question—I have 18 backups, can I delete some of them?

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! Thank you for finding time to open the thread regarding this question, I will be glad to address it.

Deleting the backups may affect the safety of the data only in case you have the chain of full + incremental backups.

Incremental backups depends on the safety of the images in the chain. For instance, you have a full backup (F) and 5 incrementals (i1, i2, i3, i4, i5). If you delete the i3, then i4 and i5 won't be recoverable: they need to have all the previous images valid and present, as the incremental image backs up the changes made to the drive since the last incremental backup.

If you have 18 full backups or full + differential backup, feel free to delete any images you dislike except the first and the latest one.
