BACKUP DOES NOT PROCEED DURING HOURS USING 20% OF CPU TIME - impossible to start from new

Thread needs solution

I tried to make a backup of files and directories from hard disk to mobile hard disk.

The backup seems to hold on after some hours and shows "55,90GB were processed - remaining time 1h02min".

3 hours later was the same display. The file on the backup MeinBackup_full_b1_s1_v1.tib was empty.

I tried to stop this backup and started it from new. Now the display showed "55,90GB were processed - remaining time 7h34min" and this keeps over 5 hours even if the process uses 20% of my 4 CPUs.

So how I could get help ?

I include a screenshot and the AcronisSystemReport.zip.

thanks for help

Hello,

Thank you for the information about your backup task, this shows that your MeinBackup task is using your Z:\Bilder\ Z:\Downloads\ Z:\Eigene Bilder\ Z:\Eigene Dateien\ Z:\Eigene Musik\ Z:\Eigene Videos\ Z:\VisualC++RT\ folders as the source data, and writing this to your MeinBackup_full_b1_s1_v1.tib image file on your L:\Acronis Backups\ drive using Maximum compression.

The System Report information shows that your L: drive has

Größe    680,50 GB (730.680.258.560 Bytes)
Freier Speicherplatz    448,28 GB (481.334.554.624 Bytes) - free space.

while your source Z: drive shows:

Größe    445,61 GB (478.473.252.864 Bytes)
Freier Speicherplatz    7,97 GB (8.554.766.336 Bytes)

Depending on what the exact size of the source data you are backing up, this could be a tight fit even when using maximum compression, especially as two of your folders look to be hosting music and video files which are already highly compressed and may be stored at their original file sizes.

Given the above, I suspect that the backup task is running as expected unless the log file shows messages to say differently when the backup has proceeded further.

Please download a copy of the Log File Viewer App and use this to track the messages in your task log file and look for any indication that any errors are happening.

Your current log shows the following entries upto the point where it was collected:
