Backup fails at 99%

Build 6525, Windows 8.1, Dell XPS 15 9530, cloning a 1TB internal disk to a 1 TB external disk.

When I ran my first back-up. ATI15 crashed according to windows 8.1 at 99%. I have no idea why it crashed, and find nothing in Windows event logs that trapped the crash.

I did have shutdown system checked on, and I am wondering if this was the issue.

The documentation on how to validate the backup does not align with the software and I have no idea how to connect what the documentation says and features in the software. There is no backup on the side bar that I can do operations on to mount the backup.

I bought Acronis years ago and loved it. The current software is very confusing - the documentation and this forum call out Acronis True Image 2015, but the installation process does not create a True Image 2015 shortcut. Which one of 10 short cuts is TI 2015?
