backup hard disk replacement with new one

Thread needs solution

hi guys, I'm Italian so I apologize for the mistakes that I will make writing.. When I replace the hard disk where I put the backup images of the system hard drive and I set "true image" to write the new backup files on the newer one that is empty, acronis still try to find the previous image files insted of creating a new full complete image and after the incremental files..
So I have to delete the entire task, loosing all the settings like mail notification etc and create a new one.. Sometimes I need to uninstall and reinstall the software to avoid that it "remembers" that the same system disk was previously backupped on another drive that no longer exists...
is there something that I can do to avoid this issue?
Thank u very much...

Each task has a "clone settings" option so if you need a new copy of an existing task, you can clone the task and afterwards, edit the settings of the clone task creating a new name for the task and point it to a new storage folder wherever you want it located. The clone will retain the email settings but can be modified as needed.

Each backup task is tied to a specific storage disk. If you need to change disks, you need to stop using the old task and create a new task with the revised correct settings.

Usually, starting over with a new task pointing to a new storage folder is all that is needed to stop it looking for old files.
Change the old task to "do not schedule" or remove the task from the listing of tasks.
