"Backup Now" button disappeared! (again)

Thread needs solution

Could sombody explain me what's happening?

here's what I've done on a task:

  • Operations->Edit Backup Settings
  • Change settiings to use autocleanup (do not keep more than 2 recent versions)
  • Ran the task again
    • After the task have completed there are *two occurences* of the *same task* in my task list, one of them is missing the "Backup Now" button: and, incidently, auto-cleanup didn't worked:

      Here the contents of target folder:

      • Partition_backup_SystemC(1).tib
      • Partition_backup_SystemC.tib
      • Partition_backup_SystemC2.tib
      • Partition_backup_SystemC3.tib

      What should I do to fix the situation (I know by experience that deleting a task also deletes the backup archive)

The dummy task should disappear if you close TI down and then restart it.

It is often better to make a new task to replace and old one then edit a task. Editing sometimes causes unforseen side effects.

Was the drive that the task points to attached and running when you made the alteration?

What build of 2011 are you running?

There is the option to just remove an item from the task list rather than delete the archive.

Are you're joking ? What is the purpose of the "edit task" context menu I it is "better" not to use it?

Good point: it worked;

I'm now going to run task again (after restarting acronis for safety) to see if everything has came back normal
