Backup now button ignored. Scheduled backups do not occur

Thread needs solution

Windows 7. Attempting to backup D: drive to empty 3TB external drive (USB) F:. (D is half-full 1TB drive).

Backup simply does not occur, whether I schedule it, or I click on 'Backup now'.

I have created new backups with various variations of the settings. Nothing seem to make any difference. I have also downloaded the latest updates from the Acronis site.

No doubt there is a simple solution, but I have not run across it yet.

Not having my system backed up for the last three weeks is making me nervous.

Run services.msc and verify that the Acronis scheduler services are running. If they are not, start them and see if that solves the issue. if not, uninstall and reinstall ATI.

Don't forget, the backup task will only work with a single specific storage disk which was attached at time of task creation.

Why doesn't the application just tell us what the problem is, instead of simply ignoring the Backup Now button clicks?  At least give us a hint!  Or is this a way to get us to pay for support?

WBou - please note the date on the previous posts. These problems are long resolved, so that I can't even remember the resolution. My scheduled backups are marching along very nicely these days.

Hello WBou,

Thank you for your posting! The root cause of the issue often lies in the corrupted database of the product. I would recommend to re-create it using instructions from this thread. I've also added your feedback regarding the error messages and issue localization to our internal system.

Thank you,
