Backup Online stops after upgrading from 2011 to 2012

Thread needs solution

I have paid for Backup Online till April 2012, but after I've upgraded Acronis True Image Home from 2011 to ATIH 2012 my online backup didn't work anymore. It's still there, but I have to schedule it as a new backup. But off course there is not enough space for a new one, because of my "old" backup. And off course I can delete that one and do the backup all gain, but with 150 GB it will take weeks again to upload that. Why I can't reach my "old" schedule and go on with that one??????!!!

I think I may have a problem similar to yours except the problem happened after uninstalling ATIH2012 and then reinstalling with a new serial number (I transferred to a Family PAck, 3 PC licence version).

I speculate in my post whether the problem is something to do with the Acronis online server thinking the PC is now a different one after the upgrade/reinstall. (You may recall you are allowed to have up to 5 different PCs share your online storage space but can only have one active online backup per PC.) Can you access your previously backed up files from your PC (e.g. to restore them?) even if you cannot continue backing up under that name? I found I could not access the previously backed up material and just got a "server not available" message.

My post about all this is on the same forum but like you no one has yet come up with a solution.

So I'm in same position as you. I've invested days in shifting 45GB to the online backup and don't want to have to start again.
