Hello Craig,

Let me assist you.

In your case we need some additional information to investigate the issue.

Could you please gather PCAP logs as described at this KB article and then submit a support request with both AcronisInfo and created logs?

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

hi there,

thanks for the info. i have followed your instructions but can't raise a support request as i'm using a trial version of the product. i'm using a trial version to make sure that i don't have the problems that i'm currently having !

thanks in advance ...

I didn't know that TI 2010 is supported using wireless connections. It wasn't supported in version 9. I can't speak for the intervening versions.

thomasjk:

Wireless has always worked in the Windows versions of TI as far back as I can remember and will work for backing up across a wireless network. It is not, however, supported in the Linux recovery environment so typically you cannot restore across a wireless network.

I use a WinPE based recovery disk (VistaPE) and wireless works for both backing up and restoring. But it doesn't make much sense to use wireless when a gigabit LAN connection is more than 20 times faster!

Mark:
I understand that it does work but I know in the older forums at Wilders site Acronis support stated that it was not supported. Has this position changed?

Hello,

Craig, please just attach the collected information to your reply to this thread, I'll create a case for you.

thomasjk, Mark is absolutely correct, wireless networks doesn't work only in Linux bootable media. Within Windows environment they should work fine.

Mark, thanks for your help.

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, I can't unpack the archives even after renaming them.

I've sent you a link to our FTP server via Private Message, so could you please upload the gathered information once again?

I am experencing the same issue in TI Home 2010 build 7046. I'm running an HP G70 laptop with Vista SP2. Every time it try to backup over the wireless the job fails and I have to disable and enable my wireless adapter to reconnect to to the Router. Is there a solution for this issue yet?

Thanks,

John
