Backup Size for

Thread needs solution

I am having an issue with Acronis when attempting to create a new backup.  I am selecting the "Entire PC" option and it is telling me that the backup size is 1.8 TB when it is only a 1 TB drive.  The last time that I did it yesterday it was telling me that the backup was just under 1 TB.  When I look at My PC the drive shows 873 GB free of 930 GB.  It looks like Acronis is not compressing the data at all.  Any ideas?  The "Backup Sector By Sector" box is not checked on the Advanced tab.

If you have two internal disks, then "Entire PC"  will include both in the backup.

If two internal disks, Your choice then becomes to not use "Entire PC" but to use the alternate "Disk & partitions"

but be sure  and select all the partitions of your system disk--even if no letters assigned to them.

Thanks,  I never even thought of that.  I use Acronis at home but we only run one drive with the external backup.  At the office it's two internal drives one being my backup drive plus the external backup.  I appreciate the help!

Yes, it is misleading. Many have asked that the selection of "Entire PC" should display what is being selected for the backup.

This new setting is a change from how it was described in the past which leads to the confusion.
