Backup Task Shows "Queued" but seems to run anyway
It seems that when running a scheduled task and this task “overlaps” another task that is scheduled to start, the second task is “queued” until the first task completes. The second task also shows a “Time Left: Calculating” message on the far right while in que.
The issue is that when the first task stops, the second task appears to remain in a queued status and makes it necessary to cancel the task.
After cancelling the task (and out of curiosity), I opened the log for the task and it appears that the task was actually running and was in the process of validating when I cancelled it.
A forum search finds that the queing issue has been around for a while in previous versions. Seems strange that the task would show as queued when it appears to be running. Maybe I’m missing something here but thought I’d ask about this.
I have attached a copy of the log. The Backup and Recovery Tab constantly shows the task in que even though it seems to be running.
