Backups fail to start unless some other program needs administrative permissions

Thread needs solution

I have True Image Home 2012 (build 7133) installed on a windows 7 home premium PC.
I have been noticing that my scheduled backups do not start unless I happen to run a program that requires an elevation in user privileges. As soon as I click on the privilege elevation for the other program, True Image 2012 starts right up. At no time did I specifically do anything related to True Image Home.

Another issue is that I had set up two Syncs on separate folders. As far as I know, without paying for a subscription extension, these will not work anymore. That is fine as I fundamentally abhor the subscription model. But, I cannot right click and delete the syncs. The X for delete is displayed, but nothing happens.
