Beginner queries
I have made an Acronis bootable media and backup all in one on a 32GB usb flash drive. Oddly the backup of the C drive that was created was divided into 7 my_partitions tib files. Whereas when I make a backup of my C drive in Windows, the backup consisted of just one file called my_partitions tib file. What is going on?
I also notice that when I open Acronis program in Windows and go to the main screen there is now a new box that shows the backup of the C drive in my usb flash drive and there is a tab saying Back up now. Does this mean that if I use this tab to backup the C drive regularly on my 32 GB USB flash drive, it will just add new programs or changes that I make on my C drive instead of making a second full backup ?
Clearly I would very much like this to happen since the flash drive only has 32 GB and it only has 6 GB space left.
I have copied the backup of my documents that I have in my external hard drive and pasted it in the My backups folder of the flash drive. If Windows 7 stopped working and refused to boot up, will I be able to restore this documents backup file from the flash drive using the Acronis bootable media that is on my flash drive ?
I am wondering whether it is necessary to create the backup of my documents using the Acronis bootable media program for it to restore it.
