Best practice using System Clean-up

Thread needs solution

How can I keep detection of FXAPIDbuglog.txt from stalling my System Clean-up?

The last two times I ran System Clean-up a pop-up said, "can not delete FXAPIDbuglog.txt ..... being used by another program," I had to press the Ignore button to allow System Clean-up to continue. I want to eliminate the need for manual interventions such as this, and run System Clean-up as one step in a procedure to clear my system of obsolete files and defragment the system partition. How should I proceed?

Hello Kcav!

Thank you for your question, I will be glad to help you with it!

Usually this happens when Windows Explorer is still using the file or any other service is "stuck" busy with the file. Most common resolution for such cases is rebooting the machine, after which the issue disappears, so I would suggest you to try it in future,

Should the issue persist, we will need to take a closer look at the issue to find out what process is using the file, so could you please kindly provide us with the following?

  1. Acronis Info from the machine in question
  2. Procmon output

This diagnostic data will help us to identify the reason of the issue and provide you with appropriate solution.

Should you any issues with obtaining the diagnostic information or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
