Boot from CD hangs on "Starting Acronis Loader" message
Greetings - I have been using Acronis True Image Home 2011 since the day it came out. On my system I have had no issues with it whatsoever. In fact, the rock solid restores have saved me more than once. I haven't had to do a restore in about 9 months now though. But tonight I needed to do a restore so I used the Boot disk CD that I have always used and now my system hangs right away on the "Starting Acronis Loader" message. My system config is below (it's a 6 year old system). In the last 9 months I have done a few upgrades to it...
* Installed a new video card: Nvidia EVGA GeForce GTX-660 2GB
* Installed a new 128GB SSD drive as my primary (boot) drive
* Installed a new Blu-Ray drive
SO I JUST UPGRADED to Acronis True Image Home 2014 to see if that would make a difference. Created a new boot disk CD. No difference. I checked the boot disk CD on another system that I have and it loaded/worked fine. I have also disconnected the SSD drive and Blu-Ray drive with no difference. So that leaves the video card upgrade-wise. Obviously I can't disconnect that. But it's a pretty common card so ATIH 2014 should work with it I would think. My system config:
System Configuration
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit
MB: Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe, nForce4 SLI x16 chipset, AMI BIOS version 1409
CPU: AMD Athlon FX-60 Dual Core 2.5ghz (no mods)
RAM: 4GB Crucial
HD: 128GB SSD primary, 3 other SATA 7,200RPM drives
I have used Acronis products on this system for all 6 years now and have never had an issue with any of them until now. Hoping somebody can help. Backup software is pretty useless if you can't do a restore when you need it.
Thanks in advance, Mark
