Boot Media Build 6525: USB drive not seen / discovered / recognized by True Image
Are there limitations to the total size or partition size that the True Image 2015 Boot Media will recognize?
I have a 2TB Segate external USB drive (P/N 1K9AP6-501) with a single NTFS partition.
It is not seen, discovered or recognized by the True Image boot media whether I plug it in before booting or after booting True Image. I have tried on several different systems with identical results.
The drive works fine if booting to Windows XP, Windows 7, or Linux (Centos 6.5).
I also have a 1TB Western Digital drive and several smaller USB drives that work in True Image without problem.
Does size matter?

The drive is USB 3.0, but the host ports are are only USB 2.0

Thank you. Build 6567 works for me.

I have build 6525 and the True Image 2015 Boot Media does not recognize a USB 3.0 Shintaro enclosure. I would appreciate access to the build 6567 ISO if possible.

Recover manager build 6567 solved the problem for me. I was even able to clone a GPT partition and though I chose manual resizing, the tool had already chosen the correct partition to resize. The information in https://kb.acronis.com/content/2931 was invaluable as well.

Hi,
I'm trying to make a backup-Image from a S-ATA Drive, connected to a Notebook with 4 USB 3.0 ports via an USB 3.0 <> S-ATA/IDE converter (DeLOCK).
I'm able to boot from the usb-stick wich contains the bootimage from the 6525 build and can see the second USB Stick, which is planed to hold the Image when backup the HDD, after True Image Comes up.
The HDD is seen in the BIOS, in Windows, in Linux etc, but not while running TI2015 - there it is completely ignored.
So, my question is, can I Access the HDD when using this newer build and where can I get it, or do I have to Change anything else to get my HDD work under TI2015 ? Using the 2014er Version it works like expected.
Thanks a lot for your Support,
Christian

---ATT MVP MEMBER,
I also have the ati home 2015 6525 problem during rescue disk with an external usb 3 hdd and a pc based usb 3.x ...that is unreliable or unrecognized operation.
By the way, in some cases, even hiding the win based pc program occasionally throws an error or the ext usb 3 drive indicates activity is in progress...but the progress bar stops advancing !
The ext usb 3 drive led continued blinking (startech newest version including USAP support), thus indicating the pc usb drivers are sending dates or data frames recognized but not bring processed.
In any event, please send me a url link yo the 6567 ISO.
By the way, does Acronis plan to post a full ati 2015 update including the Rescue ISO ??
Thx
Bob

Hi Enchantech,
thank you for the link. Now the recognition of the USB 3 Converter works like a charm. It also recognize hot-plug Status changes of stick and converter, so it solves my Problem.
There's a different between my 6525 Version to this one : the USB Stick, which I used to boot from, isn't shown in the target/source overview anymore, it's 'gone' now.
The second Thing is, I don't have universal restore now, as the Image doesn't contain it. Is there any way to combine my licensed UR with this build ?
Thanks again for your fast Response and Support,
best regards,
Christian

Hi everyone,
I have the exact same issue. I have a laptop with only USB 3.0 and the build 6525 of Acronis True Image 2015. I create the Boot Rescue Media and when I boot on it, I'm unable to see or detect my USB 3.0 enclosure but the enclosure is detected in the laptop boot menu and also in Windows 8.1 x64. I would appreciate of anyone send me the link for the build 6567.
Thanks in advance to everyone!

CDo,
Glad to hear that the ISO worked for you. At this time I know of no way to combine universal restore with this build. You can create a stand alone universal restore media and I would advise doing that. You can download the universal restore ISO from your account on the Acronis Support page.
As for the boot USB stick not showing in the overview I can't speak for that but not having it show is probably a good thing as often times mistakes are made when incorrect drives, especially targets, cause users to select the wrong device.

Thanks for your message, Enchantech. How can I create a USB with an ISO file ?
Thanks in advance,

Nitharshan,
There are a good number of free tools available on the net that can do this for you. Yumi multiboot creator is one, MagicISO is another.

I think I have the same problem. I can backup (using the trial version) to my Seagate 5tb USB 3 drive, but the rescue media does not see the drive for restoring. I want to buy this as I have 5 PCs to backup but I can't use it if it doesn't see my 5tb drive.

Hi Enchantech, I tried to create the USB in Yumi but I don't know on what is based the ISO and with Magic ISO, I used Extract to my USB but computer show the message that it can't boot on it.
Thanks in advance for your help

Build 6567 has solved my problem. I can see both my 5TB drive as well as the backup TIB file in the folder. Looks like I will buy this package.

Hi,
I'm running the build 6574 (ftp link sent by support team), which allows me to see my USB 3.0 external SSD (Verbatim Vx450 256GB) when using True Image boot media.
Good support!

Trying to use the Build Media in a 64 bit Windows 8.1 Desktop. Help Screen shows it is build 6525. Can't browse at all (internal or external media - program freezes trying to do anything) and the backup is on a USB 3 external drive. Could we download the later build? Thanks in advance.

Thank you. We burned it and tried it, but it still basically locked up when trying to do anything, and wouldn't browse internal or external drives.

Then your issue is not the Recover Media. You have something else going on probably related to hardware. At what point does the Rescue Media hang/freeze? Do you have a Crucial MX series SSD installed in the machine? Are you confident that all USB drivers are up to date as well as all drive controller drives? I know this sounds crazy but are your NIC drivers up to date? Do you have the latest BIOS update for the machine installed?
Freezes are most commonly associated to hardware and/or the drivers that they use to function.

I to have build 6525 and my disk can not find my Seagate 2 TB drive. Can I please have the new build?
Thanks in advance,

please may i have a link to build 6567 as i have not been able to see my Seagate 1tb since i installed the original 2015 version, even though i have been backing up to this drive on a weekly basis. i was hoping a fix would appear before my computer crashed and i would need to do a 'dos style' restore.
thanks in advance
