Boot media doesn`t recognise Raid PERC6/i controller

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I`m trying to use the Acronis True Image home 2012 support disk to make an image of my hard drive that are in raid. Unfortunately when acronis initialises it freezes up and says that it doesn`t detect any raid or hard disks. Is it possible to add the drivers for the controller onto the support disk so that I can proceed with my images.

Thanks for any information or help,

Martin

Hello Martin,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forum.

The fastest way to resolve this issue is to create WinPe bootable media to which you can add your hardware drivers. Please use this Knowledge Base article for additional information.

Could you get back to me with these two reports so that we can check why the regular media fails to detect your hardware:

1. Acronis system report from Windows.

2. Acronis system report from the bootable media.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hi Anton,

Thanks for your quick reply to my problem. I followed the steps to create a WinPE media. Unfortunatelly I didn`t find anywhere to add my hardware drivers.

Would it be possible to get the necessary steps to accomplish this? Attached is the system report from the bootable media.

Thanks,

Hello Martin,

Thank you for the update. I would really appreciate in additional Acronis System report from Windows so that we can investigate this issue.

I can recommend the following tutorials which will help you with adding hardware drivers:

 - Online (when the WinPe media is booted)

 - Offline (specify the drivers when creating the WinPe media)

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you.

Hi Anton,

Using the WinPe boot media I was able to get it to work.

Thanks for all your help,

Martin
