Boot a Sony Vaio with Acronis TI 2014 Rescue Media DVD in UEFI mode

I can not boot with the Acronis True Image 2014 Rescue Media DVD a Sony Vaio when the BIOS is in UEFI mode. If the BIOS is in Legacy mode I can boot with the rescue dvd.
How can I boot with Acronis TI 2014 rescue DVD in UEFI mode?
When I bought the Sony Vaio, I booted in legacy mode and created an image of the complete hard disk with the Acronis TI 2014 in a spare USB external disk. I changed the hard disk and I tried to recover this image with Acronis TI2014 rescue media in legacy mode. Now I am trying to restore this old image to the new disk and although the new disk appears in the window to select the disk as destination, the disk is greyed and cannot be selected. Why is this?
