Bootable CD stops on first screen with error message

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I use TrueImage 6 since several years and I am very happy with it.
I build a new PC still with XP on it.
I installed TI on it and have already done backups from my drives during the system was running.
Now I created a new bootable CD because of the new drivers from the new mainboard and CPU. The burning of the media was no problem an no errormessage appeared.

By testing the bootable CD the blue Acronis start screen appeared and then it stopped with the message "PCI: Device 00:14.1 not available because of resource collisions"

I can't understand, why TI works with no problem from the PC, but not from the bootable CD.

I have already read several posts in the forum, but don't really know what to do.
Here some ideas, that I found in the forum:

1) Could it be, that the HDD-SnapATI driver update pack helps ?
2) Or the IsoLinux boot media that you can download (I have registered myself, but no download for this is available for me ?).
3) Or should I create a newer bootable media with a new trial version of True Image ?

Would be very nice, if someone has a hint.

Hello Bergi,

We will do our best to solve the issue you experience with Acronis bootable disc.

The source of the issue is in lack of drivers under Linux because Acronis True Image 6.0 is outdated version.

Regarding your questions:

1)      SnapAPI drivers will have no effect to Acronis bootable disc drivers if you install them. They serves to solve the issue only under Windows.

2)      You can download special ISO images from your account only starting from Acronis True Image Home 2009.

3)      You can create Acronis bootable disc using the latest version Acronis True Image Home 2010. But we can’t guarantee that you will be able to restore images created with Acronis True Image 6.0. See the following KB article for more information regarding backward compatibility.

As workaround to the current issue I may recommend you upgrade Acronis True Image 6.0 to Acronis True image home 2010. Then recreate Acronis bootable disc using the latest version and create new backup archives. The price for the upgrade is $29.99.
