Bootable Clone Image of Windows 7?

Thread needs solution

I have a question about Acronis® True Image™ Home 2012.

After I create a clone disk of Windows 7 on a separate hard disk, can I then boot into either the original hard disk of Windows 7 or the cloned disk of Windows 7 (my choice)?

I am looking for backup software that allows the user the choice to boot into either the original or cloned hard disk. If Acronis True Image software cannot do this, is there another software program available for Windows 7 that can achieve this flexibility of bootable options?

Thanks for the information.

Yes. It's awesome. Done it for years. Make sure you don't have both devices connected to the same machine at the same time.

As in having both "online" (physical connection & powered up)? Not recommended. I would suspect that you could with the their OS Selector. My choice it to perform clone, switch the physical media, keep the original as a backup, then use the new. Cycle this process with several devices for excellent hardware failure protection.
