BOOTMGR missing

I have carried out a full backup of of my C system hard drive using Acronis and validated the backup ok, but when attempting to recover it onto a new hard drive it kept coming up on the screen at each start up "BOOTMGR is missing" and of course the PC will not boot.

Any help appreciated.

Hello friends, I've just realised that I have broken one of my personal golden rules, and that is never post on a forum until you do a search, and having just done that I found that quite a lot of our members have had the same situation when backing up/ recovery with Acronis.

It's easy when you have problem to think it's just you affected, so I apologise for posting what has already been covered many times in the past.
