BSOD in snapman.sys, True Image 2010, Vista 32

Thread needs solution

Hi there,

I hope you can give me a hint how to solve this problem:

I'm using True Image 2010 (Build 5055 German) under Vista 32 Business.

When I start the software, about every second time I get a BSOD Bluescreen, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

I own a external eSATA hard disk, but the BSOD also occurs when it's not connected (I read something about a relation between Acronis BSODs and eSATA drives.)

Analyzing the minidump file brings:

This was likely caused by the following module: snapman.sys
Bugcheck code: 0xA (0xB0, 0x2, 0x0, 0x8286458E)
Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\snapman.sys
product: Acronis Snapshot API
company: Acronis
description: Acronis Snapshot API

What can I do?

I like the Acronis software, and before installing it I haven't had any bluescreens since I got the notebook in 02/2009.

Regards
Martin

Hello Martin,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

I have sent you SnapAPI drivers via PM. Please install them reboot computer and see if the issue persists.

If the issue remains in order to investigate it I would recommend you open a new support case using the following link http://www.acronis.com/support/index.html  and attach the following diagnostic information:

- Open Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information;

- Choose the "Save" option in the "File" menu (or "Action" menu under Windows 2000), enter the "File name" and set the field "Save as type" to "System Information File (*.NFO)";

- Send us the saved file.

Also please attach the latest mini-dumps created.

what version of snapman? I've been waiting over a month for a resolution for my snapman issues from acronis happy to try anything...
