Can I backup from Window 7 and recover files to Windows 8
I am currently running Windows 7 on my laptop. Can I perform an image backup from Windows 7, upgrade to Windows 8 and then recover files to Windows 8 (all using ATIH 2013)?

Richard- if you haven't checked it out, the clone disk from within Tools & utilities is worth a look. You'll need a few things to do this:
You'll need an external USB attached tray (BLAC-X) I have a SATA 2.5"/3.5" dual drive model
Hard disk- similar method drive as installed in Laptop (SATA) typically larger in size
You can clone the disk (time is dependent on size & USB speed) typically less than 45min
You can then put the cloned drive into you LT, make sure it boots, then run the upgrade on it. If problems you just remove that disk and put back in original. Nice way to upgrade the disk size if you're close on space with the original LT drive.
Just a thought-
Mark
PS- I've done the Win8 Pro upgrade and everything comes over nicely. Just follow the pre-install eval for problematic software identified.
