Can I not upgrade to 2013 from 2010? It doesn't seem to work.
I have a full version of 2010 Home. It does not seem to work with Windows 7 32 bit. I just now purchased a $30.00 upgrade to 2013. I downloaded and ran the 2013 upgrade and it asked for a previous full install key but it tells me the key is invalid. I'm stuck and don't know what to do.
Thanks

OK, well now it just hangs on the computing backup requirements progress bar and won't proceed. Ahhh this is frustrating.

Register the key for the 2013 version.
If you have not done so, register the key for the 2010 version.
Once registered, you can visit your personal web acct and it contains the serial numbers for your two versions plus the files available for download for those same two versions.
It is wise to visit this account and use the option to send you your serial numbers in a text file.
When installing, you can access your text file and copy into clip board and paste into installation via the Ctrl V options.
Never try to type the 64 characters. Always use cut and paste.
you will need both serial numbers to install 2013. If you have difficulty, I would uninstall 2013 and run the TrueImage cleanup utility (lnk below) and then reinstall.

Casey,
What hangs the installer or the installed True Image?
Have you had any version of True Image actually installed on this machine previously?
If it is an installer problem try the following.
1. Run the installer until you get to the install screen menu.
2. right click on 'install' and select extract, once the installer has extracted the MSI file, close the Acronis installer down.
3. Temporarily disable your firewall.
4. Hold the Windows Button + R and type in %temp% delete as mant entries in your temp folder as Windows will allow.
5. Right click on the extracted MSI installer and select run as Admin.
6. Run this file.
If the install still hangs, please provide any error messages and more details about your machine and windows.

Thanks Colin,
I rebooted the PC and it worked this time. I had a full version of 2010 initially and was going to the 2013 upgrade. I don't know what the issue was but rebooting seemed to do the trick. It appears to be working now.

2010 must be uninstalled before 2013 can be installed. You cannot install 2013 overtop 2010.
