Can not Authenticate

I am booting up with the True Image Home CD (just downloaded the latest image). I am trying to connect to a Buffalo NAS device that has access restrictions turned off. I can connect and browse with a W7 box without authenticating. However, when I click the device I am asked to edit authentication settings. Leaving it blank and entering a known username and password result in a connection failed.
If I connect to a Windows 2000 machine using my Active Directory username and password it connects just fine. I seems that TIH 2010 does not like to authenticate to this Buffalo device (rinning Linux I would guess).
How can I solve this problem?
