Cannot add BU to list

Thread needs solution

I just noticed that all of my TI 2012 b6131 were failing on my main desktop. Viewing the log I was referred to http://kb.acronis.com/content/27618?nocache=1 which I attempted to perform as instructed. I deleted one of the three failing BUs, e.g. this is NOT per the instructions but I wanted to completely remove a BU for Outlook 2010 in that the Outlook BU was creating too many issues and I have other BU methods for Outlook.

Following the instructions in the KB I removed one of the two remaining BUs and per the instructions I attempted to "Then readd the backup by clicking Browse for backup:" This step is failing for me, no matter what BU I select nothing is added to the Acronis BU window/list. I also deleted the "archives.xml", stopped TI and restarted. The XML file was recreated but still I cannot add a BU to the TI list.

The BU I'm attempting to add back is a custom FUll BU that is run nightly at 0200 hours and per my settings I should retain only 10 versions. In the target folder "Q:\BU\Acronis\S4\Full01" I see a total of 26 files, thus versions are not being deleted per the BU profile.

Thus I currently have two issues
1) I cannot add a BU per the KB
2) The number of versions per the profile is not being honored.
