Cannot boot from cloned drive (MBR Error 1)

Thread needs solution

Hi everyone !

I have some strange issues with ATI Home 2010. I have an old 40 gb IDE bootable drive and I'd like to clone it to new 1.5 TB SATA drive. I've created archive copy and then restored it to the new drive with 'MBR restore' option enabled. At first glance new drive looks like a copy of an old one, but I cannot boot from it - Bios reports "MBR error 1" and asks to insert bootable floppy.

What should I do to make a bootable copy of an old drive ?

Thanks in advance.
