Cannot find version3

Thread needs solution

I am using True Image 2013 build 5551. I have been doing Partion Back ups with no problems. When I went to recover my "C" partition I get an error message saying " Cannot find version 3 you may have moved or deleted it. Browse and specify location or ignor message". When I click on Browse it opens to my external drive where my back ups are ,I click on the back up and nothing happens.
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium . I have not deleted or moved my backups so why can't True image find it?
Thanks

Right click on your backup task. Select validate and attempt a validation. Any files that Acronis is looking for and can't find, tell Acronis to ignore them and proceed with the validation. If the validation still fails, you will not be able to use the backup images for restore. If it does eventually validate, you should be able to restore from the remaining backup image files okay.

Ok it says it is going to take 8 hours to validate. Can I use my computer in the mean time or will it be very slow or hurt anything.

Got the same problem. But after a little while of validating it says the file is corrupted. This happend after i made a defrag on the same drive that the *.tbi files were located on.

Using the latest version of acronis on a Windows 8 64

Any ideas?

Forgot to add.
Could the corroption be because of the defrag?
Only tryed to acess the files once before about a month ago. Back the it worked fine.

Seems to be an ongoing issue with TI. I am getting the same problem with 2015. Makes an image file and when I go to validate, it says cannot find version 6. The file I am trying to validate is 'Drv C_D Rec Rm PC_full_b4_s1_v1'. Why is it asking for v6 when it is the only backup file in the particular folder and the only backup image in the program list of backups. Has anyone actually gotten TI 2015 to work the way it is supposed to? I have tried multiple times and so far the only way I can get it to validate is to keep ignoring the not found message. Maybe Acronis should actually read some of these forums and fix problems instead of selling "new and improved versions". I just had to rant because this is not the first problem I have had with 2015 and none have really been fixed.
