Can't delete Acronis 2014
I wish to remove Acronis True Image 2014 to reinstall the 2012 version that I was using before with no known problems. But when I tried to uninstall by using the usual Windows 7 - Control Panel - Uninstall Program, the following message pops up after clicking on "Uninstall" (please see picture in first link):
"No Acronis True Image Home components found."
This is startling, because I still can click the desktop icon of the program and launch it, and it works fine.
Then, after a while, if I click again on Uninstall, a different message appears (see picture in second link):
"Plase wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed."
But waiting doesn't seem to be worth much... Nothing seems to happen at all!
Can anyone provide some help on what the problem may be or how can I safely delete Acronis 2014?

I just installed back Acronis 2012, which was the version I was using before my ill-advised and very brief incursion into 2015 and an also brief and not much pleasant experience with 2014. At least I find this 2012 version easier to use and it has served me flawlessly with other machines before this present one, for the simple tasks that I use a backup application for -- making regular backups and, eventually, restoring. Period.
And 2012 also passes the “barrier” of the hibernation partition without a grumble... It remains to be seen, of course, if it shows the same behavior if and when the time comes to make a restore. The point is, none of my previous machines were equipped with this hibernation partition. So the big question mark is certainly there.
There is something I wish to share with you in hopes that someone may have some useful comments about it. I’m talking about the “Current State of your disks” utility that is provided by 2012.
After running the utility, there is a box showing all the partitions in the disk. Their labels are at least partially visible in some but not in all of them. Hovering the mouse over the respective spaces, the labels can be read, as follows:
Partition 1.....SYSTEM_DRV NTFS 1.465 GB
Partition 2.....Thinkpad W530 ( C: ) 97.10 GB NTFS
Partition 3.....Lenovo_Recovery ( Q: ) NTFS 13.67 GB
Partition 4.....0x84 (Hibernation, OS/2 C: Hidden) 7 GB
This is astonishing to me, and I should be forgiven for my ignorance on computer knowledge... But isn’t it at least funny that Acronis can actually detect and clearly identify this Lenovo “problem-partition”, to the point of providing its ID (0x84) and its function (Hibernation) and is nature and size... And then, to my ignorant surprise, it cannot handle this partition properly during a backup and restore operation...
One thing is for sure: After all the experiments I’ve done, it seems to me that only Acronis 2014 cannot finish a backup task that includes the Hibernation partition, aborting the process a couple of minutes before the end. However, from all that I have heard and read, I strongly suspect that, in all likelihood, those backups will either fail during recovery or, in the best possible scenario, they may succeed IF the Hibernation partition is either not included in the backup OR if it is excluded during the selection of partitions to be recovered. Does this make sense?
Still, considering the above “best possible scenario”, does it also make sense to expect possible serious booting and/or other operating problems afterwards?
