Can't install TI Home 2011 trial
I'd love to try out the software, especially the non stop backup feature looks promising, but the installer keeps exiting with this error:
"The installation was interrupted before Acronis True Image Home 2011 could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again"
Obviously restarting the installer doesn't fix jack :P
Suggestions?

RpR,
Trawling through your log file to see if anything else jumps out!
Do you have full Admin permissions?
Is UAC enabled or disabled?
Have you had a previous version of TI installed?
I assume you've created the log by using the direct MSI installer file rather than the Acronis exe.
You might want to remove your email address from the log and repost ithe log file.
Jeg synes at det er et fint idea, også navnet dine!

Full admin permissions, UAC disabled, had a previous TI trial installed once, can't remember the version, but it didn't have the nonstop backup feature.
I'll edit the log once I get back to a PC from my phone which I'm using atm :)
Nice Google on the Danish btw ;-)

Nothing else jumped out at me, often there are remnants of old TI's in registry that stop the installation, and there are traces of this in the log file, but I didn't see any.
Hmm, obviously my Norwegian (bokmål) has got worse since I no longer live in Europe and visit Scandinavia.
(Det er klar at mit norsk har blit verre, siden jeg bor ikke i europa eller besøke scandinavia nå).

I tried to install the trial on my laptop also running Windows 7 64bit and got the same error :/

Nothing? Can't you pass this info over to the devs or something? Clearly there must be something buggered up in the installer

Okay, here's some strange, albeit good news I guess.
I googled myself a copy of the old ATI 2010 trial to see if that would install. It did. Then I installed ATI 2011 ontop of that, and it worked! Restarted PC, fired up ATI 2011, program told me it detected some old components and asked me to reboot again.
Just turned on non stop backup and it appears to be working :)

I'm having a similar issue installing a purchased copy of TI 2011. First over TI 2010. Then without TI 2010, after using Revo's UnInstaller to get rid of TI 2010.
The error occurs, just after the successful (gasp!) install of MsiSnapmanForceInstall, as per the Acronis Install log below.
Any thoughts, Acronis?

Hello all,
Thank you very much for your posts.
Colin,
I appreciate your help!
RpR,
I am very happy that the issue was resolved. From the log, it appears that an older version of SnapApi drivers could not be unloaded during program installation. We recommend to run our clean up utility in such situations, it will be available very soon.
Stephen,
I will definitely assist you.
The installation fails because the old True Image Mounter Driver (which is responsible for opening Acronis backups) cannot be removed. In such cases we recommend to remove it manually, reboot the machine and reattempt the installation. If it fails again, I would really appreciate if you can provide me with a new msi log so that I can continue assisting you.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.
