Can't Mount Images
I'm using Acronis True Image 2015 Build 6613 and I can't mount any of my backup images. I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Windows is up to date.
I've tried 4 different images including one created very recently. I've rebooted, reinstalled Acronis 2015, and turned off antivirus. The images are less than 100 GB. They're stored on a USB drive with 1 TB capacity.
On another laptop running Acronis 2015 Build 6525, the images mount as expected.
I get as far as selecting the partition and specifying a drive letter. When I click OK the error I get is:
Cannot assign a drive letter to a partition from the backup archive.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Marios

I too have this problem. Double click on a *.tib file in Windows Explorer and nothing happens. I have build 6613 ). I'll downgrade to 6525 as per your suggestion. Thanks for the tip!
(I'm actually sorry I upgraded from ATI 2014 at all. The interface is horrible; it won't stop asking me to update; I can't mount *.tib files; right clicking doesn't work - no context menus; can't resize the window with the list of previous backups which is way too narrow; the help window looks like Windows 95. For me this version is the "Windows 8" of ATI. Shame. Let's hope 2016 is better.)

Yeah. Not to turn this thread into an upgrade rant, but upgrading has brought with it little value. A new interface doesn't offset the problems such as being forced to house 2 copies of a backup on the backup device (first one isn't deleted until the second one is done being created). And having 2 different backup devices that are connected at different times and given the same drive letter somehow confusing Acronis is annoying.

A work-around - I have recovered my files from the tib archive by using the "recover files" option under the "backup" (!) section.
I agree this shouldn't descend into a rant, but oh dear the interface to select the files looks and feels like it was designed for a 5 year old. And the scroll bar on the right is too narrow to be picked up by my mouse unless the window is maximised!
I'm downloading the version you suggested (my Internet is slow so I'll have it in a couple of hours) but in the meantime at least there was a way to actually get my files for which I am grateful.
