Can't open or restore my tib files from a USB to new PC

Thread needs solution

I've been using ATI 2012 and had a motherboard failure, finally got my computer sorted (had to replace motherboard) the only thing i really need to restore is my music colection stored on a USB stick, there are 5 x tin back up files, but it doesn't see, to matter how i try and restore them i cant? i just get a mesage saying

"an error occured when opening the back up archive"

cannot continue the operation due to either the back up is corrupt or it is used bu another process or maybe mounted as a disc"

all i want to do is restore my files?

i'm not very it literate and it's taken me all afternoon to get this for, on a product i've paid for

HELP Please

Try booting from the user created TI Recovery CD and do the restore  of  your music files when booted to the CD.

The CD should see the usb stick and allow you to restore your files.  if usb3 involved, you may have to use usb2.
