cant stop backup from trying to run

Thread needs solution

I changed the credentials on my target NAS and my current backup to it obviously failed. I figured I could edit the backup option by putting the new credentials in there, but I can't even stop it from running. Click "stop" than are you sure.."YES" and nothing happens. Every time this happens I have to stop the service, delete the backup and create a brand new one. I don't want to keep doing this! Why won't it stop?

If it were me, I would cease to use the old backup task and create a new one with the correct credentials.

To get rid of the bad task, click on the task and then use its "remove from list" option.

Before you do that, if you wish, you can open the bad task and use the "clone settings" before removing from list.

If you did clone the settings, then you can edit that new task and reset the locaton and credentials, etc plus any changes the new task might need.
For most users, experience has shown that editing a task rarely produces the desired changes.
