C:\bootwiz\asrm.bin: ATI-2010 vs ATI-2011

Thread needs solution

Hi,

ATI-2010 creates the file C:\bootwiz\asrm.bin for system recovery. The file is fragmented with hundreds of excess fragments. Also, the file can't be removed.

Does ATI-2011 have a heavily fragmented C:\bootwiz\asrm.bin also?

I'd like for C:\bootwiz\asrm.bin to be contiguous, and not require other files to be allocated around so many fragments.

Thanks,

phantom

The fact that a file is fragmented is not because of the application, but because of the disk. You can defragment the file by using some off-line defragmenter. Or you don't worry about it. Or you deactive the ASRM, and reactivate it. Maybe you will get less (or more!) fragments ;-)
