Clean up recent backup and start over

Thread needs solution

I have True Image 2013, and tried to recover a file today, but the backup file was corrupt. Fortunately, I was able to go back a set and recover the file needed.

Now I want to delete the latest Set and start a new set (Full, Partial, etc.) But I don't want to lose the backups I have in place (beyond the 3 days of the most recent backups which are corrupted).

How do I proceed without starting over and losing the two months worth of backups I have in place and retain the ability to automatically remove older backups as the disk fills?

Thanks!!!!

First step in to change the backup task to "Do not schedule". Here are two links and the first one is what I am suggesting.

How to change a scheduled backup task to "Do Not Schedule".

How to enable or change a backup task schedule.

Next step would be to check the system disk for disk or file errors. Something caused the file to be bad.

Next would be to create a new backup task (or clone the old task) and start a new set of backups. Do point the new task to an empty storae folder as I am suggesting no intermixing of backup files from mixed taskks.
