Clone completes but get WindowsXP blue screen - hardware issue

I just downloaded and cloned between an older SATA to a WD STATA 500GB(I ran out of space). The clone was successful but after switching the cables and rebooting, the computer attempts to boot the new drive. I get a blue screen (very, very short time) and I see the windows info one gets when the OS boots and there is a hardware issue. BUT the screen goes away and I get into a boot loop, I see the blue screen again and again. I am able to switch the cables, reboot into the old drive no problem. Any ideas?

Try a reverse clone instead .... put the new 500gig in it's booting position and the old drive in any other position. And use the bootable True Image CD to do the clone.

Another idea. Did you remember to install the speed limiting jumper on the new SATA drive? I forget what that jumper is called. 150 speed or something like that.
