Clone single HDD with multiple OS (Win7 and Linux) to bigger HDD

Thread needs solution

Hi, I want to clone my old HDD to a new, bigger one - no problem -

BUT

my old HDD contains Windows 7 32 bits and Linux Ubuntu.

1) Will I be able to clone the HDD ?
2) How do I have to do it ?

I found nothing about it in the user guide. Thanks in advance,

Kr., Michael

You should be able to clone the disk, but you may run into a problem with the Linux boot loader after resizing the partitions.

See here: http://kb.acronis.com/content/4974 and http://kb.acronis.com/content/1686

Clone from the bootable media.
Turn off the system after the clone.
Attach the target drive to the connector the source disk was connected to.
Turn on the system and try booting to the new disk.
