Cloning Active C Drive

Thread needs solution

Been using Acronis for several years. Use to swear by it but no longer. Some time ago they changed the way their cloning worked so that you can no longer, directly clone the C Drive unless it was not the boot drive. I do not want to spend all day at this or become a computer geek which use to be possible. Now you have to open up your computer (which is a pain for me) swap the drive or know how to assign the backup drive as the primary boot drive. Of course the later assumes the old backup has an updated Acronis and if it does not, you have to update it first. Lots of work arounds and all them a pain in my ass and time consuming. Not worth the continued headache.
This was so stupid, I assumed it may have been addressed by now so I tried it, the old fashion way. As typical, the program does not give you a hint that your doing it wrong and this time, it messed up my primary drive which will no longer boot. Soo, the program is forcing me to re-learn some of this geek crap but when I get it going, I will never again use Acronis. There are other cloning programs out there which are cheaper and do not make you jump these hoops.
