Cloning error 10, it won't work at all

Thread needs solution

I am using True Image 2013, which works just fine for backups, and restores when necessary.

I have a HDD in a USB enclosure that I want to keep should my desktop drive ever die.

The desktop drive is a 250 GB and the USB one 500 GB. I do additional clones every few months just to keep it up to date.

All of a sudden, it just stopped working. I tried the Automatic as well as the Manual. In each case, it starts, then a little box in the lower right of the screen says it failed.

I am doing nothing different that I have been doing. I checked the logs, and it noted an Error 10, with some longer error number I did not keep.

Anyway, I checked it out, and one recommendation was to download and install Snapit, I think it was.

I did that, but it made no difference.

What has suddenly gone wrong and how do I fix it so can continue to clone that disk?

If I can't get it to work, would it make sense to just do a Restore from my external HDD to this USB drive, which is bootable?

I went back to the logs, and if it is any help, here is the error code:

Failed to prepare operations. Error code: 10 'File system error is found'
with extended code: 458,776 'MFT bitmap corrupted'
