Cloning Internal HD to external WD HD
I have tried to clone my HD to external WD HD with no success from within Windows XP environment using True Image. I disconnected all USB's and followed directions. I was trying to create a rescue media with a DVD but looks like it can only be done with CD-R or CD+RW. Well since i do not have one handy I created a USB rescue media and it seemed to have worked. I would like to clone my drive using the USB rescue media, but I am not sure how to set up the USB settings in BIOS. Right now it's set to floppy and would like to know if I need to set it up as a hard drive. I have windows xp and an E-Machine T3990 I believe it's about 5 years old and don't think it has the option in BIOS to set up the boot order. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

shutterbug,
Older computers cannot boot from USB. You will have to try different boot devices settings on yours to ascertain it.
