Confused User - Automatic Cleanup rules

Thread needs solution

I've had ATI 2011 w/ Plus Pack runnig on my Win 7 system for some time now. My external 2TB hard drive has become full. Looking through the Help files it tells me to set the Automatic Cleanup Rules to aleviate the problem. Here is my uninformed question. Where in the world do I find the Auto Cleanup Rules options to set them? Can it be done after a scheme is set up or do I have to create a new one? If so, can some of the older backups be retained? Thanks in advance for any help.

Joseph,

You should set up a new task, as editing an existing task doesn't work very well with ATI 2011.
- move the TIB files you want to keep to another directory on the same disk,
- delete the backup task from within ATI,
- set up a new task, create a custom backup scheme, turn on auto cleaning, choose the option to keep only a limited of most recent backups (for a custom scheme based on full backups) or most recent chains (if based on incrementals/differentials).
