Consistent error with backup on one drive

Thread needs solution

I have set up Acronis TIH 2012 to schedule incremental backups of all my logical drives daily. This was completely successful until a few days ago, when the incremental backup on Drive J: showed an error message: "The backup is corrupted". Following up on the log of this showed: "Failed to open data stream" with an Error Code: 0x01E5000E+0x000B03E9+0x01E50006+0x00040014+0x0000FFF0+0x80070020
This takes me to "Knowledge Base 30188", which tells me to check if the backup is 'mounted' or not - it is NOT mounted. So it then suggests I use Windows Process explorer to determine what is the problem but this was of little help...
I finally 'resolved' the problem by deleting the whole chain of backups, viz. the last Full backup and all its incrementals, and then performed a fresh Full backup, which - so far! - hasn't produced any error messages. It remeinas to be seen whether tomorrow's incremental backup of J: is error-free.

Usually creating a new task gets rid of the "failed to open data stream".
