Copying Partitons

I have two desktops each running Windows 8.1.
I want to transfer all of the contents of the hardrive of NO.1 machine to NO.2 machine.
So I started by making a disk backup of NO1.onto an external drive using ATHI 2014 and then connected this drive to NO.2 machine and by using "Acronis Disk Director Suite" I finally got the backup installed on the No,2 machine as partition (F:) but Windows will not boot and run. I believe it cannot find the Boot information which is on the original No.2 ( C:) partition.
Can someone please advise how I can find and transfer this information onto the new copied partition(F:) and then remove the original No.2 (C:) partition and alter the drive letter from (F:) to (C:) ?
