Copying 'Time Explorer Storage' folder works as an offsite backup?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm using Acronis True Image Home 2010 (ATIH2010). One feature in Norton Ghost that I really miss is the ability to automatically create 'offsite' copies of nonstop backup storage when a nominated external USB drive is connected.

I'm currently mimicking this feature by manually copying my 'Time Explorer Storage' folder to an external USB drive. Do you think this is a sound practice? How easily can ATIH2010 restore nonstop backup storage from an external drive (i.e. one that is not designated in ATI as the location where nonstop backup goes)? Is this functionality the same in the full program and boot CD versions?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I don't think this will work. If the timeline folder was originally imaging to an external drive, then all would be OK.
I'm just trying to remember whether 2010 allowed the timeline folder to be in a place of your choosing apart from the ASZ. I seem to recall it can.
