Corrupt Index Error Trying To Restore in TIH 11

Thread needs solution

I am trying to restore my c: drive from a full backup taken last night. The backup reported successful. A validation of the tib file reports success. However, if I try to trigger a restore from that tib file (either from within windows or from recovery media) I end up getting "Corrupt Index" error after selecting the partition to restore and pressing the next button. After the error is displayed, it seems that I could proceed with the restore. But I am not willing to do so after seeing the error. I can (and have) performed a successful restore from another complete backup taken two days ago. I note that when in windows explorer, I can open the tib in question and browse around in it. I have not tried to restore any files from it yet. But all of this seems quite strange. Any tips?

This is TIH 11 on Windows XP Pro SP3. Latest build of TIH. I have run all sorts of system diagnostics (memory, disk, video, etc) that came with the Dell computer and all is fine. I am currently running chkdsk /r on every disk in the system including the second internal drive on which the tib files are stored.

Thanks.

The chksdsk /r has completed and it doesn't look like there were any errors on either the 3 drives that were backed-up or the drive on which the backup was stored. However, since I had to restore from an earlier backup, the situation could have been different at the time the tib file containing the error was created.
