Corrupted Backup

Thread needs solution

Yesterday I backed up a machine and verified it was 100% fine & correct. Upon connecting to backup image to access the information it worked and I could access the files... for some reason a popup jumped up that had 5 or 6 serial keys field boxes and no matter what I did I could not close it (had some exclamation as a header and on right clicking on the link in the task tray I saw it had something to do with the Acronis backup scheduler. I could also not access the data in the backup either.

I had to force restart the machine to get everything working again but then found that the backup image file (acronis made 20 4GB files) as it now states that the backup is corrupted. SO my problem is that your software hung up during the process of checking and copying the data.

Sean,

Your description doesn't ring any bells with me, I have to ask, you are positive you haven't had any nasties lurking in your system, or anything leaning on the keyboard?

Could you give more details on your setup, such as where you are imaging to and the type of image - disk /partition etc?

I had two instances in the last month the same as Sean. Am using Windows 7 Ultimate and a WD USB External Drive.
